In order to accomplish our goal of providing you with the latest state of the art digital breast diagnostic services, we transferred our mammography to the Women's Center at Spivey Station. This transfer of services allows you to have digital mammogram with a shorter time of interpretation of your studies by the radiologist.
The Women's Center at Spivey Station is a seperate financial entity from Southern Crescent Breast Specialists, P.C. By law and insurance regulation, a seperate co-pay is required by both financial entities. We regret that you have to pay a second co-pay. However, your access to high quality, state of the art diagnostic services with a more timely interpretation of the studies should provide you with a greater peace of mind. We continue to provide you with ultrasound guided biopsy services with continued pathology turn around of results within 24-48 hours.
Please advise us if you are not eligible to undergo annual screening mammograms as you have in the past. We want to provide you with the best care possible, at the price you can afford. If you have a suspicious breast finding, diagnostic mammography is often required to evaluate and document the finding prior to a biopsy. Diagnostic mammogram services are not paid the same as screening mammogram services by your insurance company. Diagnostic services are applied to your deductible, which result in a higher out of pocket expense to you.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to providing you with the best services that are state of the art and second to no other institution.
Sincerely,
Davis Scott Timbert, MD, FACS
President, Southern Crescent Breast Specialists, P.C.
